Workshop - Summer Harvest
This Workshop is an opportunity to (1) learn the basics of anaerobic fermentation and to (2) come with your summer harvest and create medicinal quality ferments, using The Probiotic Jar. The Workshop will last from 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm.
The Workshop will begin with an overview of Introduction to Anaerobic Fermentation material, reviewing the benefits of fermentation, going over the history, and explaining why we choose to ferment anaerobically with The Probiotic Jar. The remainder of the time will be devoted to hands-on preserving your produce. I will provide coaching and guiding, to give you optimal benefit and quality results! If you already have The Probiotic Jar(s), bring those to the Workshop, or preorder the sizes that you wish to use at the Workshop. (Sorry, no Mason jars, as the Workshop emphasizes medicinal quality ferments, possible only with anaerobic fermenting vessels.) Himalayan Pink Salt is provided.
Want to come but don't have a garden? Let me know what you would like to ferment and I will collaborate with Real Food Organic Buying Club to supply your needs.
Minimum of 6 required to hold the workshop; Maximum of 8 workstations available. RSVPs due by Thursday, August 23.
